TREE AGATE POINT
Tree Agate is named after its green inclusions that look like leafy tree branches.
Tree Agate is sometimes called Dendritic Agate. This is because another name for these inclusions is dendrites, which means “tree-like” in Greek.
All agate is named after the Italian river that used to be known as the “Achetes”. This is where ancient civilizations supposedly discovered the first agate. Even though it is not technically an agate, Tree Agate still bears this name.
